They bring more than thirty combined years of emergency and acute care medicine to our Medical Center suite off Loop 410. Which neurotoxins do you offer, and how do I book?
We offer Botox, Jeuveau, and Dysport. Jeuveau is bookable directly online under Élite Injectables as a new or current patient. Botox and Dysport begin with a consultation, which is the right path if you want to continue a brand that has worked for you. The consultation deposit is credited toward treatment.
How are Botox, Jeuveau, and Dysport different?
All three relax the same facial muscles in the same way. Jeuveau, often called Newtox, was FDA-approved in 2019 for cosmetic use only. Botox has been used cosmetically since 2002 and also has medical uses. Some patients simply respond better to one brand, and your provider helps you choose.
How much do neurotoxin injections cost in San Antonio?
Neurotoxins are priced per unit. The number of units depends on the areas you treat and how strong your muscles are. Your nurse practitioner maps the plan and tells you the unit count before anything is injected, so you approve the total first. Treating more areas simply adds those units.
When will I see results, and how often do people come back?
Most patients notice softening within three to five days, and some see Jeuveau start a day or two sooner. Full results show at about two weeks. Results typically last three to four months, so most people return a few times a year. Your provider will suggest a schedule that fits you.
Does it hurt, and what should I do afterward?
A very fine needle is used, and it feels like a quick pinch. Most patients go straight back to their day. For about four hours, skip hard exercise, lying flat, and rubbing the area. Before your visit, avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours when possible.
Who does the injections at Fountain of Youth Élite?
Every injection is done by one of our co-founders, Lynda Okafor or Maria Rendon, both board-certified nurse practitioners with emergency and acute care backgrounds. There are no rotating injectors or trainees. The provider who studies your expressions is the same one who treats you.
Can I switch from Botox or Dysport to Jeuveau?
Yes. Many patients switch between brands without any issue. Tell your provider what you have used before and how well it worked so your dose can be matched. Switching can also make sense if your current product seems to wear off sooner than it used to.
