Ordered Here, Performed at an Imaging Center

Diagnostic Imaging Ordered by the Provider Who Knows Your Case

A scan only helps when someone connects it to your symptoms. We order the right study and walk you through what it shows.

At Fountain of Youth Élite, we offer access to radiology and diagnostic imaging to support accurate diagnoses, early detection, and treatment plans built around you. When an exam or your symptoms call for it, your nurse practitioner orders the right study, from X-rays and ultrasounds to CT scans and MRIs, and helps coordinate it with an outside imaging center.

The scan itself happens at the imaging facility, not in our clinic. When the report comes back, your provider reviews it with you and uses it, along with any lab testing, to shape next steps. Imaging can be ordered after a clinic consultation or a telehealth urgent care visit, where imaging referrals are included in the visit fee when ordered. The facility bills for the scan separately.

When a Scan Makes Sense

Reasons Your San Antonio Provider May Order Imaging

Imaging is ordered when it can answer a real question, not as a routine add-on.

  1. Pain That Is Not Getting Better

An X-ray can help check bones and joints when pain lingers after a fall or strain.

  2. A Lump or Swelling That Needs a Look

An ultrasound gives a closer view of soft tissue when a lump or swelling needs answers.

  3. Symptoms Labs Alone Cannot Explain

When blood work leaves questions open, imaging can add the missing piece of the picture.

  4. A Concern That Needs a Detailed View

CT scans and MRIs show more detail when your provider needs a clearer look inside.

  5. Catching Changes Early

Imaging supports early detection, so a concern can be found and addressed sooner.

Order, Scan, Review

How Diagnostic Imaging Works With Our Nurse Practitioners

Four simple steps, with your nurse practitioner on both sides of the scan.

  1. See Your Provider First

In clinic or by telehealth, your provider hears your symptoms and decides whether imaging will help.

  2. The Right Study Is Ordered

An X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI is chosen to match the question that needs answering.

  3. Scan at an Imaging Center

We help coordinate the order; the scan is done at the imaging facility, which bills for it.

  4. Your Report, Explained

Your provider explains the findings in plain words and builds your treatment plan from there.

Imaging With a Plan Behind It

Why San Antonio Patients Get Imaging Through Our Clinic

A scan is only as useful as the plan that follows it.

The Right Study, Not Every Study

Your provider orders the scan that fits your symptoms, not extra tests you do not need.

Help Setting Up Your Scan

We send the order and help you get the study arranged at an imaging center.

Your NP Reads Every Report

The nurse practitioner who ordered the scan reviews the report and goes over it with you.

Labs and Imaging in One Plan

Imaging results sit next to your blood work, so the whole picture guides your care.

Ordered From a Video Visit

Telehealth providers can order imaging when appropriate, with the referral included in the visit fee.

Scans Done Where the Equipment Is

X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs are performed at an outside imaging facility.

Patient Reviews on Diagnostic Care

Patients on Getting Clear Answers From Lynda and Maria

"Absolute amazing care team! Made me feel comfortable and excited to start a new wellness!"

Angelina Jaurrieta

October 2026

"Lynda and Maria at Fountain of Youth Élite took care of Destini for her Botox, and we will be back. Both of them were hands-on the whole visit. They made her feel safe, kept it fun, and still took the time to educate her while they worked. You can tell it is a nurse practitioner clinic, not a rushed med spa. Medical, aesthetics, and wellness under one roof, and they actually explain what they are doing. We recommend them, and we are lifetime customers."

Gabriel Ybarra

October 2026

"Love how truthful they are about what services you need. Finally found someone that will listen to your concerns and not just out to take your money. I highly recommend coming here. They are gonna get me as a regular. I love how sweet and nice Linda and Maria are. I will be back."

Radiology and Imaging FAQs

X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI Questions, Answered

Do you do X-rays or MRIs at your clinic?

No. Our providers order and help coordinate imaging, and the scan itself is done at an imaging center that has the equipment. Once the facility sends the report, your nurse practitioner reviews the results with you and uses them to plan your care.

What kinds of imaging can you order?

Your provider can order X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs when an exam or your symptoms call for one. Each study is chosen to answer a specific question, such as checking a bone, a lump, or an organ, rather than added as a routine extra.

Can a telehealth provider order imaging?

Yes, when it is medically appropriate. Imaging and diagnostic referrals are included in the telehealth visit fee when your provider orders them. Telehealth is never for emergencies, so if you have chest pain, trouble breathing, or another emergency, call 911 instead.

How much does imaging cost?

Imaging charges are billed by the facility that performs the scan and are separate from your visit fee. The cost depends on the study and whether insurance or self-pay applies at that facility, so ask the imaging center for an estimate before your appointment.

What happens after my scan is done?

The imaging center sends the report to your provider, who goes over it with you in plain language. Together you decide on next steps, which may include more testing, a treatment plan, a follow-up visit, or being pointed to the right level of care.

Programs are provider-supervised and personalized after a medical evaluation and, where appropriate, lab work. Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed. Prescription therapies are prescribed only when clinically appropriate.
